If your final estimate is higher than what we quoted you on the phone, we'll show you the photos and explain why before you approve anything. Sometimes there's a real reason — a seized caliper, a sheared bolt, a part that's only available from the dealer. You should never find that out from the invoice.
Why we publish this at all
Almost no independent shop posts prices, and the reason usually given is that every car is different. That's true, and it's why we quote after looking at your car. But it isn't a reason to make you call three shops to find out whether you're being taken advantage of.
Our technicians earn the same whether you buy the repair or not. Publishing what things cost is how we make that checkable rather than just something we say on a website.
What's not on this list
Engine and transmission work, and anything that starts as a symptom rather than a defined job. We won't put a range on those, because an honest range would be so wide it'd be useless. Those get diagnosed first, then quoted — with photographs — before any work begins.
Financing
If a repair lands at a bad time, we work with financing partners so you're not choosing between a safe car and this month's budget.
