Pre-Purchase Inspection

What to expect

A pre-purchase inspection is the cheapest money you will ever spend on a used car. We put it on the lift, check for accident repair, frame damage, leaks, rust, brake and tyre life, and scan for stored fault codes. You get photographs and a written report you can take to the seller.

What we look for

Evidence of collision repair and paintwork, frame and structural condition, fluid leaks, engine and transmission behaviour on a road test, brake and tyre remaining life, suspension wear, rust underneath, and every stored and pending fault code including readiness monitors.

Why the report matters

You are not just buying an opinion — you are buying leverage. A photographed list of what the car needs is a negotiating position, and occasionally it is the thing that stops you buying a car with a bent structure.

Emissions readiness

For a Gwinnett County buyer this is worth checking specifically. A car with recently cleared codes will fail emissions on incomplete readiness monitors even with no light showing — and that becomes your problem the moment you register it.

Common questions

Can you inspect a car at the seller's location?

The inspection needs a lift to be worth anything, so the car needs to come to us. Most private sellers and all reputable dealers will allow that.
