Mercedes-Benz Repair in Peachtree Corners
Mercedes builds cars that are engineered to be maintained. Skipping a fluid on one of these is far more expensive than skipping a fluid on almost anything else, and we service them to the specification the engine actually requires.

The short version
What is actually different about servicing a Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes publishes oil approval specifications rather than just viscosity grades, and the difference matters. An engine that requires an approval will not be protected by an oil that merely matches the weight, and on a turbocharged direct-injection engine that shortcut shows up as wear rather than as an immediate symptom.
The most common repairs we perform are leaks and cooling. Valve cover gaskets and oil filter housing seals weep with age and land oil on hot components. The balance shaft gear issue on certain mid-2000s V6 and V8 engines is a genuine, well-documented and expensive fault, and it is worth knowing whether your specific engine and build date fall into the affected range before you invest in the car.
The seven-speed automatic has its own well-known service points — the conductor plate and the valve body — and it responds very well to being serviced on time and very badly to being ignored. Airmatic suspension is a wear item that fails gradually: the car settles, then it complains.
Pattern recognition
What we see most on Mercedes-Benzs
These are the specific things worth knowing about your make — not a generic checklist. If none of them describe your car, we will tell you that too.
Oil approval specification
Mercedes specifies an approval, not just a grade. Using the correct approval oil is the cheapest engine protection available and it is routinely got wrong.
Valve cover and oil filter housing leaks
The usual source of the burning-oil smell after a drive, well before anything appears on the driveway.
Balance shaft gear on certain mid-2000s engines
A documented and expensive fault on specific V6 and V8 engines within a particular build range. Worth confirming before committing money to the car.
Airmatic suspension
Struts and the compressor wear out. The car sinks overnight first, then throws a message. Ignoring it usually costs a compressor as well.
How a visit works
Four steps, and you approve the third one
1. Tell us the symptom
Call, book online, or text us a photo of the dashboard. A real person answers during shop hours.
2. We find the cause
We diagnose the fault rather than reading a code and replacing the part it names.
3. You see it first
Photos and measurements of the actual problem, texted to you, with a price. Nothing proceeds until you say so.
4. We do the approved work
Only what you approved, torqued to specification, road tested, and covered by our written warranty.

No obligation

Mercedes-Benz questions
Common questions from Mercedes-Benz owners
What oil does my Mercedes need?
Whichever oil carries the correct Mercedes approval number for your engine — that is a stricter requirement than the viscosity grade and it is where the real protection comes from. We will tell you which approval your engine calls for and use an oil that meets it.
Does the seven-speed automatic need servicing?
Yes, and it is one of the better returns on money in Mercedes ownership. The conductor plate and valve body are known wear points, and clean fluid on a sensible interval materially extends the life of the unit.
Can I convert Airmatic to conventional shocks?
On many models yes, and for an older car it can be a rational decision. You lose the adaptive ride and may see a dashboard message depending on the setup. We will price both options and let you choose.
Will you work on Sprinter vans?
Often yes, and we do fleet work generally. Call us with the year and engine — some heavy diesel jobs are outside our scope and we would rather tell you before you drive over.
